Skittles sighed. She didn't know if JD understood very well, Fergie probably sent them a message that would come ture soon once the kits we're born.

(I gotta go, be back on in half an hour.)

JD looked to the others, "Well, until we can ge..."

Starlight suddenly winced.

JD looked to her, "Are you alright?"

She took a deep breath and sighed, "I-I'm fine, I'm just... on edge."

JD nodded understanding then again turned to the others, "Like I was saying..."

Starlight cried out in pain. She clentched her teeth tightly.

JD turned fast to her, "What is it!?!"

She turned to him, her eyes somewhat glassy, "It's them, they're coming..."

(Finally!!!)

(kusuma, i know on cs i said i wanted to play one of her kits, but i changed my mind. sorry. you can play them all or fergieforever can play one if she wants.)
"I agree with JD. We will make them pay if they set a claw on our territory." Sparkle said. "Oh no. Where's Zanna when we need her?" he asked, nervously.

(Okay, but I'm curious, what made you change your mind?)

JD led Starlight over to the burrow and let her down inside.

Megan bounded around jittery with energy. She stopped at the burrow mouth looking into the darkness.

Starlight laid down in the chamber they had selelcted for where the kits would live.

She closed her eyes tightly and her muscles tightned... the first kit was born... a healthy little hob.

The kit's first cry in life echoed through the chambers and corridoors of the burrow. Megan heard it and jumped into the air and began running around like a crazed road runner announcing as loud as her lungs could let her, "THE FIRST KIT!!! THE FIRST KIT HAS BEEN BORN!!!"

THEY ARE ALWAYS BORN WHITE they are like dalmations and get their markings in two or three weeks)

(that is the cutest thing ever!!!!!! aw i wish i had a female ferret in this pack that could be all excieted about how cute they are!! i changed my mind cuz i well im not really sure. i just didnt want to play one. im sorry.)
Sparkle paced outside. "Is it ok? Iss she ok?" he asked nervously.

Megan looked to Sparkle, "I don't know, I'm guessing she's okay, but that is just the first kit, who knows how many more there are."

(time skip of about 2 hours.)

JD stepped out of the burrow entrance.

Megan looked up expectantly, "well?"

JD smiled and cocked his head toward the burrow, signalong the others to follow.

Megan squeaked with exitment.

Sparkle gulped and followed JD slowly.

Megan followed closely, he face brightened when she saw Starlight, grooming her TWELVE KITS! She got closer and loomed over them, she whispered so she wouldn't disturb them, "My goodess! They are the most adorable things I have ever seen."

Starlight smiled, she nuzzled one that already seemed to stand out.

JD padded over and nuzzled the kits as well. One looked up, even though she was still blind. He looked to Starlight, "What should we name them?"

Starlight smiled, "I had some names in mind," she pinted to the eldest hob that seemed to stand out from the others, "Zorro, I hear it is spanish for fox, swift and agile." (and the famous spanish hero who wore a mask similar to a ferret's) She pointed to the small female who was looking up at JD, "Riverdance." Then named all of the rest, "Axel, Sugar, Charlie Chocolate, Butterscotch, Hokey (pronounced Hoke-ee) Jenny, Trixie, Rex, Silver, and Fantasy."

"Wow." said Sparkle. "There's so many! Think how much stronger we'll be once they're grown! Or, a least as old as Skittles."

Axel stumbled away from the others and squeaked loudly, he was obviously the cry baby of the group.

Hokey simply slept through his brother's cries, he was the laid back one.

Trixie got annoyed and covered her ears, she was the one with an attitude.

Jenny crawled over and rested her head on her brother's back, trying to soothe him, she was the caring one.

Zorro didn't really care, he tried to crawl away, but Megan picked him up and put him back with his littermates, he was the adventures one.

Sugar smiled and licked Axel's face, she was the sweet one.

Buttercotch tumbled over her siblings and pushed her brother Rex. She was the tough one.

Rex growled and covered twin Riverdance with himself to protect her from their sister's toughness, he was the protective one.

Riverdance tried to ignore it, she was the rebel.

Charlie Chocolate could smell his mother's milk and began crying out, he was always hungry.


Starlight smiled at them, not even a few hours old, and they already showed different personalities.

"They're so...tiny. And nosiy." Sparkle said.

Megan smirked to Sparkle, "they're kits... what did you expect?"

Zorro was not only advetures, but brash, bold, and brave. He crawled away from the others and bumped into Sparkle's feet, being blind, he didn't see him. He looked up at Sparkle and growled as if to say 'watch where your going.' He tried to crawl around Sparkle.

Sparkle twisted around and picked up the tiny kit by it's scruff. He set him back down next to Starlight, laughing slightly.

Zorro growled at Sparkle, he obviously hated being held back.

Meegan snickered at his one kit rebellion.

Zorro decided to give up for now and yawned. He fell asleep almost instantly.

Charlie Chocolate rolled onto his back and squeaked playfully.

"Good luck with that one." said Sparkle. "Zorro, I mean."

Starlight smiled and nuzzled Zorro, he leaned against her muzzle, his nose twiched and he had an EXTREMELY CUTE baby sneeze. He pawed at his nose and closed his eyes again, nuzzling closer to Starlight muzzle.

Megan cooed." Awwwwww."

A smile turned the corners of Sparkle's mouth up. "Cute. Did you need water or something Starlight?" he asked her.

Starlight shook her head, "No, everything a kit needs is in the milk it drinks, until their teeth grow in, they can't digest anything else."

"I meant for you, not the kits." said Sparkle, smiling.

Starlight shook her head, "no I'm fine."

"Alright. But if you need anything just ask." Sparkle said.

JD stepped forward, "That's my job."

"Right. Of course." said Sparkle. He walked back out into the open air.

Skittles waited outside. She really didn't want to go down there yet. She sighed. Fergie's words rang through her head, she knew something bad was going to happen to Starlights kits. She sighed and walked away, her head hung low tail drooping. She walked over to a stream and sat down looking at her reflection.

Megan came above ground and saw Skittles, "are you alright?"

Sparkle followed Skittles to the stream. "There's twelve. Twelve. Can you belive it?" seeing Starlight and JD's kits had made him feel like his heart was being ripped out. Again.

Skittles looked at Megan and Sparkle. "Thats....great." she sighed. "But have you forgotton about what Fergie said? Something is going to happen to those kits." she sighed looking back at the stream.

Megan's smile turned into a frown, "Oh, yeah," she bsighed sadly, "It's a darn shame, I don't want nothin' to happen to them little cuties."
