Al came out of the burrow and scratched himself behind the ear.

Charlotte was next up.

Ned and Boon were now a week old, and they are already nearly three times the size they were a week ago.

(do i need to make like a form?)

Al yawned flashing his long, savage teeth.

Joey, Boyo, Tank, and Nick-Nack all pulled themselves awake.

Nick-Nack looked down into the burrow to see Ned and Boon, they were both with white coats of fur, but like dalmation puppies, that would change once they were a little older, for ferrets, about two weeks old, their colors would show better, right now, you could just see where certain petterns may be, both of them looked to one day look just like their mother Charlotte. At four weeks old, their eyes would open for the first time, by five weeks, they'd be crawling, and by six weeks trhey'd be walking.

Ruby had been by herself for a while now. Her mother and littermates had been killed by a cat three monthes ago. She had learned a tiny bit of hunting. Ruby now wandered through baren looking land. She walked right into the Mafia Pack camp. "H-hi." she said, smiling weakly to the tough looking ferrets.

Tank smirked, "well, well, well, lookie what the cat dragged in... a new chew toy."

Al smirked, "Easy big guay, she might be of use to us."

Tank narrowed his eyes and looked up at Al, "Oh yeah, how?"

Al came over to Ruby, "Do ya's want to join us?"

Charlotte, Boyo, and Tank all jerked up their heads, "WHAT!?!" Nick-Nack stayed silent.

"Join you?" Ruby asked. "Yes!" these ferrets were very tough. If they could teach her, should would be the strongest ferret ever! Then she could beat all the cats in the world! "Yes please!" she said, nodding.

Al smirked again, "I like you's enthusiasm, you's are in..."

Charlotte narrowed her eyes, then she skirked and stepped over, "...but first must pass initiation..." she grabbed Ruby by the scruff of the neck, and threw her into the air, then ncaught her again and began shaking her around, then she put her down, "... so? Are you tough enough? But most of all, to join us, the most vital thing is..."

Al stepped in, "You must have a dark soul twisted by blackness, in shoyter wouds, you's must be EVIL!"

Ruby yelped as she was thrown in the air. She stood up, trembling slightly. These ferrets were though. Tougher than she thought. Even a female who had recently had kits could toss her in the air. I want to be like that! she thought. "Yes. I will do whatever you tell me. Whatever it takes to be strong."

Al narrowed his eyes, "you's didn't answer my question, are... you... EVIL!?!" Every eye in the area was on her. (Exept of course Ned and Boon, they are blind and still in the burrow.)

"Well, I, um.." said Ruby nervously shifting her paws. "Not now no. But I can be! I can learn!" she said nodding her head quickly. "Just show me how, I'll be the evilest ferret ever!"

Charlotte sneered, "Sorry to break it to ya kit, but it isn't something you learn, it's something that comes naturally."

Al shook his head, "Char is right, (That's their nick-name for her) you can only join if you are truely evil, dark, and willing to do anything to get what you want, even if it means killing innocents... actually, you'd WANT to kill innocencts, for being so pathedic."

"I am evil! I'm dark!" Ruby lied. "I'll do anything to get what I want! I really, truely will!" this part was true. "Please, please let me join! I promise I will obey your every comand! Follow you into battle, even if we are outnumbered one thousand to one! Please let me join!" Ruby begged.

Al barked, "RULE NUMBER ONE OF THE MAFIA! NEVER BEG!!!" He glared coldly at Ruby, "you'll jest have to prove you's-self."

Ruby snapped her mouth shut. "Yes sir." she said queitly. This big male scared her, bit she would have to be brave. It was the only way she would ever be powerful.

Al scanned around, "Aha! Dayre!" He pointed his nose a pair of quails standing over their nest, "grab a couple of dem eggs and smash 'em! Don't even boder eatn' 'em! Just smash 'em!!!"

Ruby opened her mouth to protest; it wasn't fair to kill the unborn chicks. you have to want to kill the innocent. she thought and walked over to the eggs. She reared (i couldnt think of a good word to use here) up on her hind legs and brought her front paws crashing down on two of the eggs. "How was that?"

Al smirked, 3... 2... 1...

Sudednly the parents of the eggs began pecking at Ruby and scratching at her with their claws and squaking loudly trying to protect their eggs.

"Eek!" squeeled Ruby, thrashing her feet at the birds. One of her claws scratched the quial and she relized, teeth and claws will stop them. She swiped at them with her claws and bit at their wings. She was fighting, she had no grace or technice, but she was fighting.

The father quail pecked her very hard on the head.

Ruby screamed as blood dripped onto her face. She gritted her teeth and tried to keep fighting. She got a few more scratches and bites in, but she was still young. "I can't do it!" she said. "They're too strong! Help me, please!" she bit her lip, she had forgotten the rule, no begging.

Al simply watched as the mother quail pecked her on the back of the neck.

Ruby held in another scream as the bird pecked at her. I'm too young! I'm too weak! I'll never be strong and powerful! think that made her angry. Ruby gathered the last of her strengh and lept on top of one of the birds. She sunk her small teeth into it's neck. Blood poured into her mouth and around it.

The father quail, the biggest of the two, squaked and clawed, but a grip on the neck was too hard. He fell limp.

With all of her eggs crushed and her mate laying dead, the mother quail thought better of it and had a running start then took off, flying away.

Al smiled wickedly.

Ruby dragged herself back to the big ferrets. "Did I pass?" she asked weakly.

Al smirked, "Try and guess."

"Yes?" Ruby struggled to answer. Her eyes were pleading for help, but she didn't dare speak it.

Al smirked, "We'll see how you's do." He turned and led the pack back to the burrow.

Before following Al, Charlotte snarled to Ruby, "watch your step kit, I have had tons of litters before and none of them but the latest have survived, do you know why? Because one adult gets slightly annouyed with them and slaughters them all, so you'd better watch it!" She turned and followed Al and the others.

Ruby was trembling now. One, she had lost a lot of blood, two Charlotte just scared her so bad. I just killed a big bird! she thought. I'm stronger than a bunch of tiny, colorless kits! thinking this, she followed Al. "Sir? Where would you like me to stay?" she asked, bracing herself for Al's yell.

Al growled, "at the camp, where alse?"
