Roleplay - 12th of June

"Kits died? And ferrets killed them?" Limmerick asked uncertainly. Loki whispered to his sister, "I bet those ferrets that chased us yesterday would have killed us, just like they said." For once, Loki forgot his still growling stomach.

"You hafta fight alot?" Loki asked, "I never fought for reals. Just playing with my brothers and sisters." He sighed sadly. "Why did they take us away?"
Limmerick looked at her brother. "I miss them too," she whispered sadly.

Loki fought back the desire to cry out for his mother. He had Limmerick to think about. Limmerick gently groomed his neck, in comfort.

"Hi Sparkle," he said.

Skittles nodded. "Yeah, We mostly battle with Mafia. And yes alot of our ferrets have died." she sighed. She backed up ready to pounce on Sparkle.

"I'm sorry about your friends," Limmerick squeaked. Loki nodded solemnly.

Loki looked at Starlight and dooked softly. She looked so sad. "I bet she really misses them. How old were they?" he whispered quietly to Skittles.

"They're eyes weren't open yet, they were to small to walk, so about 5, 6 weeks old? Or 3 or 4 weeks old? They were pretty small though." she squeaked. "Hey, If you like I could take you to the burrows, and if your still hungry I'll catch you some prey." she offered.

"Yeah! I'm hungry!" said Loki.
Limmerick rolled her eyes. "You're always hungry. All you ever think about is food."
"Do not!"
"Do too"
"Not!"
"Too."
(This goes on for about 15-20 seconds)
Loki decided this was enough and pounced on Limmerick! They rolled together, wrestling and dooking. Out of the corner of her eye, Limmerick saw Skittles and pounced on her, inviting her to play.

Skittles squeaked with surprise. "You asked for it!" she leaped into the play-fight joining the two kits.

Loki immediately sided with his sister. After all, Skittles was much bigger than the two of them. And he wasn't really angry with her for teasing about how much he ate.

Loki started war dancing, dooking like a madman, then tried to jump on Skittles, but misjudged and landed on her tail only.

Skittles looked back at Loki and laughed. She turned around, her tail came with her. She got low to the ground ready to pounce.

Loki danced back, aware that Skittles was coming after him. Limmerick snuck around to Skittles' side and got ready, trying not to giggle.

Skittles kept her gaze fixed on Loki, she wasn't aware that Limmerick was on her side. She rose her haunches about to spring at Loki.

Just as Skittles started to spring, Limmerick jumped under her paws, tripping her. Loki jumped on the pile.

Starlight smiled as she watched the kits play, she knew that soon the surviving kits would one day play like that.

Skittles laughed. "Nice one Limmerick! Good one Loki!" she giggled. "Okay, let me up now." she squeaked. "I want to show you around camp now." she squeaked again.

Loki and Limmerick rolled off Skittles, then briefly groomed her.
"Is there a place to get a drink?" Limmerick asked.

Megan nodded, "The creek, but you must be extra careful not to fall in."

Cracker Jack came over a hill and saw the two new kits. He giggled and bounded down the hill. Suddenly he began running unable to stop, he was heading right for Loki and Limmerick, "HEY! WACH OUT!"

They looked up and saw a strange ferret barrelling down on them.
They both screamed (you know the one) and scattered in two different directions.

cracker Jack nit the base of the hill and did several summersalts before coming to a stop with his hind legs in the air and his tail hanging over his head. As his hind legs fell, he began laughing.

The two kits heard the laughter and stopped. They glanced back and saw an upside down ferret and started laughing. Loki noticed none of the others were worried, so the ferret evidntly isn't an enemy. Limmerick and Loki both bounded over.

Megan smiled, "That's Cracker Jack, he was the latest to join our clan before you."

"CJ's the name, prankins' my game," Cracker Jack had a trickster smile on his face as he stood back up.

"Yeees, with Skittles being the target of about 100% of his pranks," Megan squeaked.

Skittles frowned. "Don't forget about the time of Brook. Please don't ever speak of her!" she sat down and looked at her feet she started muttering.

The twins grinned. "That's funny," Loki squeaked.

"Can we get a drink now?" Limmerick asked.

"Who's Brook?" Loki asked Skittles.

Megan squeaked, "I'll tell you later, the creek is this way." She turned and headed off for the creek.

"My mother, She killed Fergie. Its a long story." Skittles squeaked. "I'm thirsty to, I'm coming to Megan! Cracker Jack? Want to join us?" she asked.

The twins followed Megan, whispering to each other. This was exciting! There was so much to learn!

Cracker Jack smiled sheepishly, "Right, creek... water... fun..."

Just before they reached the creek, a frog jumped out in front of the twins, who had run a little ahead of the others when they saw the water. The twins immediately started chasing after the frog, imitating the frog's jump with their pounces. The frog jumped into the water. The twins, caught up in the excitement of the game, followed. Splash!

Both twins started thrashing in the water.

Skittles watched them. She remembered what Megan told her about how she could get ill if she played around in water to much. She watched the water made her wanted to splash in with Loki and Limmerick. She rose her haunches about to spring but stoped. She walked up to the creek and started drinking. "Did you two know that I'm a water lover?" she asked.

Megan sighed and came over, fortunately they were at a part with a large and shallow bank. She steeped in and pulled each out by the scruff of the neck, she knew how much most ferrets hated getting wet, she certainly did.

Loki was afraid. He'd never really swam before. He made it to the shallows and glared at his sister. Limmerick thought the water was fun and knocked Loki back into the water. They started wrestling.

Loki slipped on the bottom of the creek and knocked his head against a rock. Limmerick was on top of him. He got really dizzy and had trouble finding the surface. He inhaled to yell for help and got water instead.

Limmerick knew something was wrong. Loki was playing anymore. She noticed he was limp. "Loki! Help! Loki, what's wrong! Loki, get up!"

Skittles gasped and leaped into the water and nudged Limmerick off of Loki softly. She quickly grasped the kits scruff and lay him on the shore. "Loki! Loki wake up!" Skittles gasped.
