Roleplay - 12th of June

Skittles darted after Cracker Jack looked looked at the mouse. "Cracker Jack!" she backed up and raced at it. She leapt up and grabed the mouse. She landed and set the mouse down. "You don't play with food like that!" she threw the mouse to Loki and Limmerick.

Cracker Jack laughed, "Sorry, I didn't see that in the rule book!"

Skittles looked at Cracker Jack and frowned. "Well, You don't play with food, rule or no rule, you can't play with it!" she squeaked.

"Says you!" Cracker Jack laughed.

Loki and Limmerick both leaped into the air, trying to catch the rodent. They missed. They collided in midair, Loki landing face first on the ground with Limmerick landing partially on top of him. The rodent came down several inches away. Both kits chittered (the rapid dook they use when upset). The landing was a bit painful. Loki started crying for their mother, with Limmerick joining in.

(it's been a long, adventerous day so far. They're really young and getting tired as well as hungry)

(poor Loki is really taking some hard knocks today).

Sparkle heard the crying and raced over to them. He hadn't seen what had happened, just heard the kits crying. He looked at CJ and Skittles. "What happened?" He asked them.

(Its okay)

Skittles frowned. "I caught a mouse for Loki and Limmerick but he snatched it away from me and raced around with it, he through it and the kits went to jump after it but I caught it, and the kits hit the ground, and now there crying." she explained.

Cracker Jack shrugged, "How was I supposed to know that was going to happen.

The kits continued to cry unhappily, although they are starting to quiet down a little. From what they're saying in between cries, it sounds like they're less upset about the game than they are missing their mother. The story is a bit confusing but it sounds like some "mean big man" put them in a box and dumped them in the woods.

(tired, hungry kits wanting mom after getting more scared than hurt. Yes, the fall was painful but they're not hurt- just scared)

"Cracker Jack, these kits are still very young. You can't mess play to rough with them, especialy now since they just got here and are tired and hungry." Sparkle said strernly. He picked up Limmerick by the scruff. "Would you two help me get Loki back to the burrow, please?" He said as he started to carry her back.

Cracker Jack kept his head low, "Sorry, and yessir." vHe padded over and picked up Loki in his mouth. (At 5 months old they are like teenagers and should be old enough to carry smaller kits)

Limmerick relaxed and yawned when Sparkle picked her up. She felt safe in the jaws of the grown ferret and her crying stopped. Loki muttered something about still being hungry (hasn't gotten to eat yet). Other than that, he also relaxed and stopped crying.

Skittles followed and frowned at Cracker Jack as she past him. "See, You can't play with food like that." she whispered in his ear and walked off.

Cracker Jack glared, his voice muffled slighty, "Pawy kiwwer." (Party Killer)

The kits were sleeping soundly before they even reached the burrow. They didn't even wake when they were put down. Periodically, a paw would twitch as the kits dreamed of chasing mice or they would dook in their sleep.

Two hours later, Loki sprang up from what appeared to be a dead sleep and began to scratch vigorously. A few seconds later, Limmerick also sprang up to scratch. Ferret yawns began.
They noticed a mouse that was left nearby. Evidently, one of the other ferrets had figured out the babies would wake up hungry. The kits pounced on the mouse and began eating energetically.
"Fing da Skillees wil pla wif uz?" Loki asked with his mouth full. Limmerick looked confused. Loki swallowed a rather large mouthful of mouse: "Think that Skittles will play with us?" he tried again. Limmerick looked thoughtful. "I think so. I hope they're not mad at us." "Me too."

Diego padded by and looked at the new kits curiously.

The kits looked up from their meal. "Hi" they choursed.
"What's your name? I'm Loki." (rapidly after) "I'm limmerick!"

"Do you live here too?" "Can you hunt?" "Do you know Skittles and Sparkle?" " And Starlight?" "I fell in the creek." "Have you ever caught a crow?" "Aren't the babies cute?" "CJ was playing and took our mouse and we fell down." "Where's Megan?" (the twins alternate questions, one right after the other)

Skittles watched the kits. She walked up to Limmerick and Loki. "Diego has been with us for while, yes he know's most of the stuff you just asked." she squeaked. "I overheard you, Yes I'll play with you, I never got to show you my favorite place to play!" she squeaked.

"Can we go now? You're not mad at us?" Limmerick asked excitedly.

Loki war danced. "That was neat how you caught the mouse."

Sparkle padded over to the kits. "Good you're awake. Was the mouse enough to feed both of you?" He asked.

Skittles smiled. She shook her head. "Of course I'm not mad. And thanks, I've been working on my jumps, And yes we can go play now." she squeaked.

"You left the mouse" Limmerick nodded. "Thanks. I'm full."

Loki looked a little shy, "Thanks. Can I have a little more, please?"

Limmerick rolled her eyes, "You eat all the time."

"I can't help it."

To Skittles: "we didn't mean to get anyone in trouble."
To Sparkle: "Can we go play?"

(When full grown, Loki will be a big, muscular ferret- weighing close to 5 pounds.)

"Sure." Sparkle laughed. "Half a mouse wouldn't be nearly enough food for me. I can catch you another."

Skittles looked at Sparkle. "So, you catch them a meal, and I'll take them to play?" she asked. "I really want to go and play in the tall grass." she squeaked.

The kits bounced, "Can we please go?" (to Sparkle)

"Tall grass? Can we play tag there?"

Skittles nodded. "Yeah! You know the tall grass is where thunder caused fire there and I nearly died? Megan saved me though." she squeaked. I hope Fergie appears! I really want Loki and Limmerick to meet her! she thought.

"There was a fire!? That sounds scary!" Limmerick squeaked.

"Megan's brave." Loki commented.

The kits started bouncing toward the front of the burrow.

"Ok, but be save ok. I'm proud that you didn't take them to water, but still it ended badly. And I know, you don't have to say it was CJ's fault." Sparkle said.

Skittles sighed at Sparkle and raced ahead of Loki and Limmerick and hopped out. "The tall grass is right over there." she squeaked. Suddenly she felt wind though it wasn't a windy day. "Fergie!" she whispered following the wind towards the tall grass.
