Roleplay - 12th of June

Lavender sat next to Fuzzball with her teeth bared, "Can you believe that jerk!?! He thinks every move I make is wrong, just because it isn't what he ordered me to do! He's whiney, selfish, and an overbearing brat of a leader!"

Arrow just stayed quiet.

Fuzzball nodded. "Yeah. He takes things to seriously. Like this morning? He needs to learn to laugh at himself."

Lavender scoffed, "Yeah, I mkean would it kill him just to loosen up and not be so uptight all the time," she stuck up her nose and spoke in a british accent, "oh look at me, I'm Prince, I am shallow and I have everyone else do my work for me... AHHHH! A speck of dirt of my perfectly trimmed claw!"

Fuzzball laughed. "That was great! You nailed him!"

Lavender snickered, "Why don't you try it?"

Fuzzball nodded and his smile faded into a sneer. He crinkled his nose and stuck it in the air and started prancing around Lavender. "Hullo, I'm Prince. The grandest leader in the whole world. Lavender!! Go catch me some food! A prince shouldn't hunt." He jumped to the side. "Of dear me! A mud puddle! Coco, Arrow! Lay in it to make a way for me to walk across without dirtying my amazingly perfect feet!"

Lavender burst out laughing, "Perfect! If I didn't know any better, I'd think you actually WERE Prince!"

Keelin sighed softly and padded toward the water she scented in the air.
She kept her ears and nose alert for any sign of prey. She hoped for a quick hunt.

A small rabbit poked its head warily out of a blackberry bramble. He was a young animal, maybe 9 months old. He was thirsty and had decided to get a drink of water. He sniffed the air catiously but scented nothing but the blackberry bushes and pine and water. He eased his way out of the bramble and started toward a small rivlet.

Keeling saw the young rabbit and froze in place. Fortunately, she was downwind, so her scent did not carry to the hopper. She eased slowly out of sight into the long grasses. The rabbit hopped by her on the way to water. She leapt out of the grass and sunk her sharp teeth into the rabbit's neck. She dug in with her nails, getting traction on the soft ground. The rabbit squealed in pain and fear. He jumped and turned, trying to shake Keelin off. Keelin bit down harder, going after the big vein. After a brief, but powerful struggle, Keelin managed to defeat the rabbit. She said softly, "Thank you for your life, that I and my pack may eat. You fought bravely." She picked up the rabbit and headed toward where she saw Amanda disappear to hunt. She hoped Prince would share some of the rabbit with her and Jericho. Otherwise, she had to hunt again. She was starting to get hungry. She wondered if Jericho would be angry if she ate a little. The rabbit was enough to feed several ferrets.

Amanda lifted her nose in the air sniffing for any signs of prey. She scented a mouse, it was big anf fat to. "It smell's so juicey." her mouth started to water. She followed the scent until she spotted it. Her eyes widend, the mouse was huge! It could at least feed three or four ferrets. She crept low to the ground, not letting this mouse get away. She made sure she was well hid, she wondered if Keelin made any progress yet. She crept foward, watching the mouse, it was nibbling on a big seed. No wonder it's so fat, Amanda giggled quietly at the thought. But she shook her head, No, she had to concentrait. She waited then she pounced landing prefectly on it it's back. She sunk her teeth into it. The mouse squeaked in fear and pain as Amanda's teeth crunched hard on it's fat neck. She squeezed harder until she heard a snap. The mouse lay limp in her jaws. Amanda got up and turned back towards where Keelin had dissapeared to.

Fuzzball shuddered. "Don't say that. To actually be him...ugh."

Lavender smiled, "I know," she sighed, "I wonder if he knows just how ridiculous he actually is."

Fuzzball nodded. "It's pointless to tell him."

Keelin met up with Amanda. She put down the rabbit to greet her. "Nice catch. That mouse is huge...." She paused for a moment, "Amanda, how did this pack form? There seems to be some tension with Prince...."

Lavender nodded, "You know what I don't understand, he used to be very angry with Amanda, when she left our territory he said something about her being treated like an outsider if she ever returned."

Fuzzball nodded. "He's just a weirdo."

(oh yeah, i forgot i had him say that. oh well, Fuzzball's right. He is a weirdo.)

Amanda put down her catch. "Tell you the truth, We used to be pets, When we got out, Prince formed The Prince pack, And the others call him selfish because he always acts like a Prince, never wants to hunt for himself, always afraid of mud, he's like that, Lavender is just plain rude, Before I left to live with the humans, me and Lavender didn't get along to well, Actually, me and her were like enemies." she squeaked picking her mouse up again. "We should probably head back to Prince and the others." she squeaked through the mouse's scruff.

Lavender narrowed her eyes at the dirt, "Of all the ferrets in the world, why did we have to be stuck with him in the middle of nowhere as a leader?"

Fuzzball shook his head. "I have no idea. We never should have trusted him. Then we'd be napping in our hammocks right now instead of having to hunt for our own food and all this."

(I just said hammocks because that's what my ferrets have.)

Lavender snorted, "we should probably get some sleep." She curled up and tried to relax.

"You're right." Fuzzball said and did the same.
