Roleplay - 12th of June

The kits dance a little. "Um, we hafta go," Loki squeaked. Limmerick nodded. "And I'm thirsty. We were just gonna go, then get a drink," she explained.

Skittles opend her eyes after hearing Megan and the kits. She stayed quiet and watched making sure Megan or Limmerick and Loki didn't notice she was awake.

The kits danced impatiently. Watching, it was pretty evident where they needed to go and what they needed to do once they were there. "We knew everyone was tired," Loki squeaked. "We didn't want to wake anyone up." Limmerick continued.

Megan smiled, "Okay, you are all clear, but don't be too long, there are far more dangers at night."

Skittles made a soft yawn and stretched. "H-Hey Megan? Could I go and get a drink? My throat is dry." she asked.

The kits nodded at Megan. They paused at the entrance of the burrow and looked, then scampered toward the "relief area." They decided to keep watch for Skittles and go with her to get a drink.

Megan narrowed her eyes but peeped, "Okay."

Skittles rolled her eyes. "I won't play in the water Megan, I promise, I'm only getting some water and thats it." she squeaked and headed towards the burrow entrance. She hopped out and went over to the stream to drink.

The kits finished their business, then trotted down to the creek with Skittles. "Hi," they chorused. They yawned hugely, then got a drink. They looked up at the stars, "Skittles, what are the stars?" Limmerick asked.

"Stars?" Skittles asked lifting her head and water driping from her whiskers. "Some of them are just big shining things, and some are planets, The sun of course is a HUGE star." she squeaked. "I can't really tell what stars really are, But sometimes I think of them as angels watching down on us but I know that can't be true, They're in Heaven, so really I have no idea what stars are." she admitted.

"They're really pretty," Limmerick squeaked.

"Mommy told me a story once about stars. She said the stars are where the angels live. They glow because the angels are so bright and beautiful, they make them glow. I don't know how that works with the sun, though. It seems too hot for an angel to live in. Unless maybe the angel likes heat. Maybe there are different types of stars?" Loki said.

"Home come I didn't hear that story?"

"You were asleep. I had a bad dream and woke up."

Skittles chuckled. "There are so many different types of stars, All I know is that the Sun is one HUGE star." she squeaked.

"So maybe some of them have angels and some don't." Loki sniffed the air. "I like night time. It's cool and smells good." Suddenly a frog jumped in front of the kits with a croooaaak. Loki and Limmerick both leaped after the frog, splashing in the creek and dooking.

Megan snorted, wondering what was taking them so long.

Skittles shook her fur after getting wet. She lifted her head and smelt the air, the kits were right, the air smelt good. She also loved the smell of fog and mist and the smell of it. "Don't get to far, We have to get back to the burrow soon." she called to Limmerick and Loki.

Limmerick pounced on a frog, who was trying to hide in the muddywater (really wet, almost water mud). The frog squirmed out from under her and Loki jumped on top of both his sister and the frog. Limmerick grabbed Loki's scruff and rolled with him. They enthusiastically wrestled in the mud.

They paused when Skittles reminded them they had to go back. Limmerick sighed. Loki snickered. "Ok." He led Limmerick out of the mud, then suddenly pounced on Skittles, dooking. Limmerick followed the "attack."

Skittles squeaked with alarm. She wriggled free and looked at her fur, it was covered in mud! "Hey!" she squeaked. She looked and seen that fog was on its way here, she smiled. "Look! Fog!" she looked at the kits, if she knew them they'd race into it. "Wait until the fog gets here then we can race trough it." she squeaked.

Megan growled and got up, they were out there way too long for it to be 'just a drink.' She raced out of the burrow and toward the creek.

The kits looked at the fog and sniffed deeply. Loki turned his head, hearing something running toward the water. "Something's coming," he exclaimed, "Hide!" Loki and Limmerick both ducked into a small "cave" made by overhanging rocks. "C'mon, Skittles," they called, "There's room here for you."

(they didn't know it was Megan and thought it might be something dangerous)

Skittles sniffed the air, but the fog was alot closer and she couldn't tell which ferret it was. "Prolly Megan." she muttered walking up to the cave. She hopped in after them and hid.

(WELCOME BACK! The night was falling, they went into the burrow, the kits had to go get a drink, they ended up playing. Megan has come out after them seeing that they are taking too long and they had told her that they had only gone out to get a quick drink. We haven't been very active since you left.)

Megan came to the creek and barked, "Kits! Where are you!?"

(what happened after the dog attack? they went back to the burrow and....?)

(Welcome back FoodIsYummy! Nothing happend after they went back to the burrow, It's just dark and the kits are out playing and fog is coming)

Skittles looked up seeing that the outside was covered with fog. She smiled but then after hearing the bark she hoped out. "Megan?" she called. She couldn't see Megan far away as the fog almost reached the burrow.

Megan growled, "Skittles what are you doing? You've been out here far too long to have just been getting a drink."

"It wasn't me! The kits wanted to know what the Stars were and then they chased after a frog! I had to stay out with them!" Skittles squeaked.

The kits answered, "We're here." They came out of the hiding burrow.

Loki looked down, "Sorry. We came to get a drink and Limmerick jumped on a frog. We didn't mean to be bad. But, it was fun trying to catch the frog." Limmerick nodded. "And Loki told a story mommy told us about stars. Do you want to hear it?"

Sparkle was resting in the burrow. His wounds from the dog attack were healing nicely, but they were no where close to completly healed.

Limmerick told the story about the angels living in stars. Loki squeaked, "Mommy also told us that there are two Guardian Ferrets who were so brave when they were alive that they're remembered memorials in the stars. If you look you can see the ferret's body, there. And there is her tail. (Big Dipper to us) Her name was Sunny. She was the first ferret to live with humans back a really long time ago. She was a brave hunter. She died by getting bit by a mean possum with Foamy Mouth (rabies). But, she kept her babies and the little boy from getting Foamy Mouth from the possum. And her baby, George is that one (Little Dipper). George was the ferret that learned how to hunt rabbits and taught every other ferret. Before that, we only hunted mice and rats. They demonstrate what it means to be a ferret- brave, determined, smart, and loyal."
