Roleplay - 16th of June

"Are you alright? You just ran off," Fuzzball said, looking confused.

"Okay, alright," Prince said and got to his feet.

"I'm fine! I just wanted to be alone for a while," Lavender peeped.

Fuzzball nodded. "Oh, okay. Then I guess I'll leave," He turned, about to head back to the camp.

Lavender silently watched Fuzzball go. She curled up tightly and sighed sadly to herself.

Fuzzball glanced back at Lavender for a second. He bit his lip. He hoped she was okay, but he didn't want to upset her by asking more questions, so he went back to camp and flopped down with a sigh.

Arrow had heard what Prince asked Amanda. She also saw how Lavender reacted. She turned and snuck over to Prince, "Prince, may I speak to you for just a second?"

Prince looked at Arrow. Then he looked back at Amanda. Was it really a good idea to leave her right after they became mates? But Amanda wanted to keep it secret for a while, and Arrow might get suspicious if he wouldn't talk to her. He gave Amanda an apologetic look and told Arrow, "Fine, but make it snappy."

"Listen, I heard you and Amanda just now, but before you say anything... you should know that, someone didn't take very well to the news, in fact, to me, looked rather heartbroken," She wanted to hear what Prince had to say before revealing who it was.

"Huh?" Prince asked. "Are you saying someone else likes me?"

Arrow shrugged, "I don't know, all I really can say is that I heard them gasp and they took off when they heard you ask Amanda to be your mate."

"Well, how was it?" Prince asked. He loved to think of himself as what all the females wanted, but he never actually knew another ferret liked him.

Arrow shook her head sadly, "I don't know, they just gasped, looked sad and ran off."

Amanda watched Prince and Arrow speak. She heard nothing of their conversation and decided to lay down for a few.

"Oh, okay," Prince told Arrow. "But, um, why are you telling me this again?"

"I'm saying this so you know, you broke a heart in the process, and let me tell you from experience, it is the main cause of death in many places for many animals," Arrow said. thinking she may have said enough, she turned and began to walk away.

Prince was confused. Was Arrow saying that he shouldn't be Amanda's mate? That was hardly fair, he didn't even know who this other ferret was. And he loved Amanda, and she loved him. Plus, shouldn't he get to choose his own mate?

Arrow sat at the burrow entrance, she wasn't saying anything other that alerting Prince to the fact that he had hurt someone in the process, nothing more, nothing less, she just thought he deserved to know.

Prince shook his head, still confused, and padded back over to Amanda. "Sorry about that," He said with a forced smile. What Arrow had told him was, well, making him feel guilty about being Amanda's mate, though he loved her.

Amanda looked up at him. She scrambled to her feet and shook off the bits and pieces of grass that clung to her fur. "What was all that about?" she asked.

Prince frowned. "Arrow said that some ferret heard me ask you to be my mate and they gasped and ran off. She thinks I, and I quote, broke someones heart," He told Amanda.

Amanda shrugged. "Well it's too late, I'm already your mate." she squeaked, her voice was soft and sweet.

Arrow padded over to where she'd seen Lavender hide, "Lavender, are you okay?"

Lavender barked back, "Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be!?"

Arrow said, "I told Prince how you reacted to his question to Amanda-"

"YOU WHAT!?!"

"I didn't really tell him it was you! Can you tell me why," Arrow peeped softly as she laid down next to Lavender.

She sighed and said, "it seemed to start the day they lost Casanova, when we went down the bank to look for him and it was raining, after everyone had run off, I was about to follow and Prince was behind me, I thought he didn't care about the fact that we had lost a friend so I was yelling at him, and he tried to tell me I looked beautiful, I knew he was lying, but a part of me... part of me wanted to believe him, that he really meant it, but I turned my back on him and left him standing in the rain..." tears gently slipped from her eyes, "now I KNOW he never really meant it, he will never see me as anything more than the ferret who is a constant bother to him."

Arrow frowned with sympathy to her friend, she nuzzled her, trying to comfort her. She wanted to say that she would soon move on like she herself had, but for Lavender, it might not be as easy with Prince still around.

"I know. And I'm glad," Prince said, licking Amanda's ear swiftly. He was glad Amanda was his mate. But what Arrow had said had made him wonder, was it bad of him to be Amanda's mate if another ferret loved him. He told himself no, it was his choice. He loves Amanda and she loves him. But still...

Fuzzball saw Arrow go towards the place were Lavender was. He followed her, trying to catch up and tell her Lavender wanted to be alone for a while. But by the time he reached Arrow, she was already talking to Lavender. All he heard was from when she started crying and said, 'Now I know he didn't mean it' and the rest, but he frowned in confusion. What was going on with Lavender?

Lavender saw Fuzzball and quickly restrained herself from saying anymore than she already had.

Arrow looked up at Fuzzball curiously, wondering what he'd make of this.

Fuzzball noticed Arrow looking at him and padded out of the bushes. He had a look of confusion on his face. "What's going on?" He asked in a concerned tone.

"Nothing that needs to be known by the clan Fuzzball, sorry," Arrow said, trying to tell him that it was best kept between her and Lavender.

Fuzzball nodded slightly. "Oh, okay," He said.

Amanda looked at Prince. He seemed troubled. She shook her head. "Let's get back to camp." she squeaked.

Prince nodded and swallowed, trying to chase his worries out of his head. He started to walk.

Lavender growled, "I need to go think... alone." She turned and ran off into the shrubs and bushed of the forest. She stopped at a creek. The bank was long and steep (to an animal as small as a ferret). She looked down at her reflection in the water but couldn't drink from it because it was too far down. She sighed as she watched the little minnows moving just below the surface. She growled to herself, "why do I care if Prince is with Amanda!? It's not like I didn't see it coming! Why am I acting like such an IDIOT!?!" She snarled then flopped on her belly on the ground.
