Roleplay - 12th of June

(I know about the meerkats, I run two other sites all about them. I saw a video on youtube of kits at only nine days old eating meat like wolves, and their mother was asleep in a corner, so I don't think it will be long before he can have solid food.)

"I thought you'd gotten yourself lost... AGAIN," without waiting for a reply she looked around and asked, "who were you talking to? I heard voices."

Amanda looked around for any trace of prey. She lifted her nose and frowned. No food here. "Though it's summer there doesn't seem to be much prey out here." she squeaked to Keelin.

"i was talking to Amanda!" Prince said excietedly, not even noticing her insult. "She's back! And there's this other ferret and a kit that escaped from an evil pack. I said they could stay here."

Lavender smirked, "are you certain you're not just making up stories for the fact you were actually talking to yourself?"

"Come see them if you don't believe me!" Prince said with a slight snarl.

"Okay then, show me where they are," Lavender smiled.

"Follow me." Prince said, and it was an order, not a suggestion. He trotted back over to where Keelin, Amanda, and Jericho were, his nose snobbily in the air. "Guys, Lavender is here. She doesn't believe that you are all actually here." He said.

Lavender smirked again, "Okay so you weren't talking to yourself, but why are they over here if you were talking to them, you didn't ask them to go do something for you now did you?" she lifted a brow with a grin of knowledge at Prince.

Keelin looked over Lavender. She seemed a bit prissy and a bit of a bully.
She smiled sweetly. "Hello, Lavender we were going to hunt for ourselves and Jericho. I offered to bring extra food back to the pack." (she sensed Prince would be teased if Lavender knew he asked her to hunt for him).

"Prince, can you show me a safe place to leave Jericho with someone while we hunt? He's hungry. If there's any spare meat, I want to try to feed him before I go."

"I can watch him," Lavender offered with a snort, she didn't really trust Keelin, there was something about her that made her feel uncomfortable.

Amanda stared at Lavender. She and her had not gotten along when she was with the pack a while back. "Hello, Lavender." she tried to hold back a snarl.

Prince was still trying to work out what Lavender had said before Keelin and Amanda said hello. He finally just gave up. "Yes, Lavender can watch him." He said. Lavender was mean, and he didn't like her, but he knew he could trust her when it came to important things.

"You sure you don't mind? He's young, so he won't be going off to explore." She smiled with humor, "He may try to nurse on you, though. He's not weaned and is hungry." Keelin didn't know if Lavender had ever been a mother. She sighed, "My babies have been gone long enough that I am not giving milk anymore. I wish I could nurse him." Keelin has very strong mother-instinct.

"He'll be fine. All three, wait, is Amanda going with you?" He asked, suddenly not liking that idea. Could it have anything to do with being left alone with Lavender, this morning's mean prank still fresh in both their minds?

Amanda was glaring at Lavender, they were not the bestest friends. She didn't like her, she shook her head and looked at Prince. "I did want to go to see how my hunting skills are after I left." she squeaked.

Keelin sensed their was some aminosity between the three ferrets. She stayed silent, not wanting to get involved in a political disagreement.

She turned to Jericho and started gently grooming him, crooing to him softly.

"Alright then. You two go ahead and hunt. We'll watch Jericho." Prince said, his voice a little wary. He shifted his paws a little and moved the tinsiest bit away from Lavender. Barely noticable.

Amanda nodded to Prince but gave Lavender a final glare and headed out in search for prey.

Prince watched her leave and his slight worry increased a tiny bit. He was really hoping Lavender woudn't do anything nasty with Jericho there to take care of.

Lavender glared at Amanda back, little, stuckup, princess, she-witch, bratty, air head, she thought silently, she saw Amanda like some girls might view a high school cheer captain. She turned and gently picked up Jericho in her mouth and carried his back toward the burrow. She never ment to be mean, she was a ferret, it came naturally, and she hadn't forgiven Prince for leading them out here in the first place.

She stole a glance back at Prince, and him... could he be any more shallow?

Oh, she's taking him back to the burrow. Prince thought. "I should probably go with her. You two come to the burrow when you're finished," He said. Looked at Amanda and met her eyes for a moment before padding after Lavender.

Lavender stopped seeing that Prince was coming. She momentarily put Jericho down so she could speak. She turned to him with an annoyed look, "What are you doing? I thought you were going with them."

Keelin nodded to Amanda. She watched Lavender and Prince taking Jericho away. She felt a bit uncomfortable letting the kit out of her sight. But she had to hunt. She had to trust this pack sometime. She couldn't keep Jericho with her always. "You know the area? Any good game?" She tried to keep the worry out of her voice.

Prince rolled his eyes. "I said I was going to help watch Jericho. And a Prince doesn't hunt." He said with his nose in the air.

"You know I can point out a million things wrong with that last sentance," she growled, "AND a prince doesn't babysit either you know."

Amanda followed Keelin. "I know some of it, I've been gone for quite a while, But I'm sure I can remember." she squeaked.

"It's not baby-sitting, it's watching out for a kit. I don't want him to be influenced by you." Prince said, walking past her, picking up Jericho by his scruff and continuing to walk to into the burrow.

Lavender snarled at Prince, "Oh and I suppose you'd rather have him be influenced by a stuck up, wimpy, snob who can't even catch his own prey? At least I wouldn't see him only as a future servant like you would, and FYI, watching out for a kit IS babysitting!" She stormed past him, steaming.

Arrow watched from a distance, she wondered what they were fighting about now, they seemed to get along just fine before the accident with Casanova's death. She guessed that without Casanova to fight with, Prince had turned Lavender into his new opponent.

Prince rolled his eyes at Lavender and padded down into the burrow with Jericho. He set down the kit and started to lick the fur on his head in a way of grooming and comforting him.

Amanda walked towards the best hunting spot. She had been here many of times before she left to live with humans. She turned to Keelin. "This is probably the best place to hunt, You'll find a lot of prey here." she squeaked and turned away to look for some food.
