Ruby cautiously poked her hair out of the burrow. Who's that? She thought, she's Brook.

Brook frowned. "I'm not leaving yet, I want to iritate you before I go." she growled. She trotted around the camp frowning at Charlotte.

Ruby shrunk back as Brook walked by her.

Brook turned to face Ruby. "And who are you?" she asked harshly. She turned to Charlotte and the others. "You let her join?" she growled. "And you hated me for being a weakling? You're so pathetic Charlotte, You and you're pack." she hissed. "If I could I would kill you Charlotte, But I'm going to let you live you no good slime." she snapped.

"I'm Ruby," Ruby replied. "I can fight. I am not a weakling." she regretted the words as soon as they left her mouth, what would Al say?

Brook turned to face her. "I used to be apart of the worthless pack." she growled. "I'm Brook." she squeaked though their was a harsh tone in her voice.

Ruby dipped her head in respect.

"You don't always have to be bossed around Ruby, You can do what you want instead of always getting yelled at." Brook squeaked. "One mess up here and they'll try to rip you're fur off, you don;t have to live like that." Brook squeaked harshly.

Ruby looked questionaly at Brook, but did not dare speak.

Charlotte smiled, she found it as brook trying to sound tough when she really wasn't, "Oh yeah! Now I'm really hurt! That was really mean Brook!" She said with obvious sarcasm, then she chuckled, if you hadn't gotten it was a joke before, you did now, she sneered, "Oh how cute, your trying to tell her to leave us! Truth be told, none of us wants her her, she slows us down even more than YOU used to, and THAT is saying a LOT!!!"

Ruby felt anger at Charlotte bubble inside her. She had kept up fine with the earlier attack, and she had stayed out of both Charlotte's and Al's fur while they were attcking the kits.

"Shut you're mouth Charlotte! Say another word and you'll regret you ever sadi anything to get so mad!" Brook snapped.

Charlotte Charlotte snarled savagely and her eyes widened with rage and fury, "NEVER!!! YOU ARE NOT THE BOSSSS (She's also slightly hissing) OF ME!!! YOU NEVER WERE!!! YOU WORTHLESSSSS, FFFILTHY, NO GOOD, SSSLIMY, NARROW MINDED IDIOT!!! SSSAY ANOTHER WORD AND I'LL KILL MYSELF JUST TO TEACH YOU A LESSSSON YOU SHALL NEVER FORGET!!!" It was obvious, if Brook had still been alive before, she would have died facing Charlotte. She looked like a demon from a monster's worst nightmare. Her pupils grew small and her salivary glands became overactive and she drooled slightly. (It makes her look even more savage and wild) Joey yelped and hid behind Al, even Al found himself nervous, which was thought to be impossible pefore now. (Here is a pic of what she looks like...[I drew it on lined paper so...]) (Wow, even I'm kinda nervous)

Brook bared her teeth. "Who'd want to be mates or friends or sons and daughters with you anyway! I'd kill myself just to get away from you if you we're my mother!" Brook snapped. She was swept away by the wind and then dissapeared.

Charlotte sneered, even though Brook was gone she continued slightly, "Talking to yourself again?"

Ruby stepped backwards if fright. If Charlotte was a scary picture to Al, she was a nightmare to Ruby.

Charlotte moved fast across the ground like a snake an slinked inside the burrow.

Joey came out slightly from behind Al, shivering.

Ruby was trembling. She looked at Brook. The ghostly ferret seemed mean, but she had stood up to Charlotte. And told Ruby of a better place. She stared questionly at Brook, hoping the jill would explain herself.

Charlotte ignored the whole thing, as far as she saw it, Brook wasn't bold, just didn't have enough sense to stay out of her way.

Brook appeared behind the young Ruby. "Would you like to stay here with that brute? Always yelling and saying you're weak? I'd get out as soon as I can just to get away from that slime." she growled. "You can do better Ruby, The more you mess up the more you're that close from being burried under the ground." she squeaked. Though Brook was an evil ferret she still had part of her good spirit in her.

Charlotte came over and snapped at brook, even though she was just an apperition, "Quit it you filthy brat! We are trying to decipline her! Without it, she'd be a weakling for life! We are making her stronger!!! You just want revenge for us abandoning you because you weren't good enough for us!!!"

Brook gave Charlotte a cold glare. She whispered in Ruby's ear before dissapearing. "Go, Go as far away from here as posable." she dissapeared for good.

Charlotte hissed to Ruby, "Forget her! She's just jealous of you because you survived longer in our clan than she did against the Shiners, you're... kinda tougher, so she wants our gang to weaken by loosing members, but remember this kit, if you DO leave, then you'll be on your own, you wouldn't last a day in the wild alone, no domestic ferret can, you must have a pack, without us, you are a goner."

Ruby nodded. She wanted the better life Brook spoke of, but she wouln't leave. Charlotte was right, she couldn't survive. And the Mafia would most likely attack her if she tried to leave. Plus, she wanted to be strong, to be tough. Only the Mafia could help her get that.

Charlotte smirked, "Good choice." she sliped past Ruby and slunk into the burrow.

"Sir?" Ruby asked timidly. "Do I have permission to rest now?"

Al judt nodded.

Ruby retreted to the burrow. She curled up near the far wall, as usual.
